47/52 My Sunday Photo: 19/11/2017

As you’ll remember from last week’s My Sunday Photo, we made a return trip to Castro Marim castle. In the grounds were some tree logs and they caught my eye. I’m not sure if I like them as captured or in black and white.my sunday photo - black and white comparisons of logs

As we are travelling somewhere in the Pacific North West of America, I thought I would share some old pictures I took as WiFi and coverage is going to be patchy at best. These were taken some time ago and were my attempt at Black and White for a Photography course I was doing at the time.

I like the raindrops one but feel the leaf could have been more in focus. I’m not sure if I was using too small an aperture and therefore getting too shallow a depth of field. But I thought I’d share them anyway!

This week saw me bring BattleDog to the vets for his kennel cough booster and to get his crusty nose checked out. Nothing serious, we just need to moisturise it to soften and remove the extra keratin on it. Afterwards I couldn’t help but get up close and personal with him for a few photos. Here they are in black and white.my sunday photo
