my sunday photo 7
Yesterday was bitterly cold and snowy so our plans to go out were halted. So while the boy played I tried out the macro setting on my G7X. Not as good as my dedicated macro lens but still not bad either. Hope you’ve had a great weekend!

Although it’s not really traditional to continue them after the first birthday, I did another cake smash for BattleKid this weekend to celebrate his 3rd birthday, which was a month ago. I did one for his first birthday and it was ok for a first try. Last year’s smash was much better and I was alot happier with the pictures I got then. So I thought I’d get my lights and backgrounds out and do another one. As per the previous two years he didn’t smash it at all, instead simply enjoying it at his leisure. He came out rather clean too at the end. Here is one picture from near the start of the shoot. Hope you’ve had a great weekend.

The beautiful Carreg Cennan Castle near Llandeilo in Carmarthernshire. I took BattleKid to visit it yesterday and it was a magnificent ruin to explore. I wasn’t sure he would make it up the hill but he did. It was cloudy when we arrived when I took this picture but it brightened up afterwards as we ascended to the castle. Hope you had a lovely weekend too!

With the snow and cold weather I haven’t taken any pictures this week that I’d consider sharing. So instead I had a look through my Lightroom folders and came across this flower picture I took in the Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen while we were visiting a friend quite a number of years ago. I was also really surprised to see it wasn’t taken with my macro lens and was on my 500D and not my 5D. Still, I do think it’s a nice picture and makes me look forward to Spring. If anyone can tell me what flower it is I’d be most grateful.
