This week I managed to catch up with Aly of Bug Bird Bee as we were long overdue a catch up and I wanted to see her before we leave the UK. We headed to Bath where she kindly gave me a whistle stop tour of the city in the few hours we had there.
One of the highlights of the day was seeing Bath Cathedral. Although we didn’t venture inside due to time constraints, the outside is beautiful enough. The first picture was taken on my phone as my camera wouldn’t allow me to take one of the entire cathedral without having many many tourists in the picture.
The main door is just so impressive. The carving is just so intricate. I am a big fan of wood and wood carvings.
I am forever grateful to Aly for the tour of Bath during my first ever visit to the city.

Yesterday BattleKid and I were flying solo so after visiting a friend in Swansea we took a drive out to the Gower to visit Weobley Castle. It was on our hit list and as we were out that direction it made sense to spend an hour or two there, rather than having to go out of our way to visit it. Weobley Castle is quite small compared to some of the other South Wales castles we’ve been to but it has some amazing views across the estuary of the River Loughor towards the Pembrey coastline. Of course we also did a spot of dragon hunting while we were there and those pictures will be featured on the blog tomorrow in my Living Arrows post.

my sunday photo
Yesterday we were at Legoland with friends and had a good day. My highlight was by far Miniland, where all the models of famous buildings around the world are. It’s amazing what they can create with Lego! BattleKid enjoyed his ride on a Duplo train and had a ball playing in the Duplo playground. I personally loved this particular climbing frame with the mirrored balls. I love the effect it creates. Hope you all enjoyed yesterday’s sunshine as much as we did!
