Win Two Puzzles from Ravensburger

I’ve been lucky enough to have the chance to review two more adult puzzles from Ravensburger. The 1000 piece Used Car Lot puzzle was very enjoyable and easier to do than the previous 1000 piece I reviewed. I also reviewed a lovely 500 piece, A Day at the Beach. Both puzzles are aimed at those aged 10+ and both are easy enough to do.used car lot puzzle a day at the beach puzzle

Now that I’ve had the chance to complete and review them it’s time to let one of my readers win them. If you’d like to get your hands on both puzzles, simply follow the instructions in the widget below and good luck. Please note that both puzzles have been opened and completed once for the purpose of the reviews. They are otherwise like new.

Win a £100 voucher for a Bluebell Mini Session with Sweet Whimsy Photography

Last year I was lucky enough to win a voucher for a photo shoot with the most amazing local photographer here in South Wales. We had an autumnal family photo shoot with Donna of Sweet Whimsy Photography and were blown away with the results. So much so we’ve just had our second shoot with her and are eagerly awaiting the photographs from that session.

Donna has kindly offered someone the chance to win a £100 voucher towards a bluebell mini session with her at the end of the month. The voucher will cover the cost of the photo shoot and the remainder can be put towards your prints or digital copies.

The sessions will take place in Wenallt Woods on Caerphilly Mountain, between Caerphilly and Cardiff. The sessions will take place on Saturday the 29th and Sunday the 30th April, so you must be available to attend on one of those days, and be able to make your own way to Wenallt Woods. You can bring all the family members along, although these mini sessions are not suitable for babies who are not yet able to sit unaided.

If you’d like the chance to win a family bluebell mini photo shoot with an amazing photographer here in South Wales, simply follow the instructions in the widget below. And good luck!

Win a Family Day Pass to Geronimo 2017 Festival

Geronimo, the UK’s largest children’s festival, kicks off on 27th to 29th May 2017. Action-packed with more performances, activities and acts than in its previous two years, families can also enjoy camping on-site in the stunning grounds of Arley Hall, Cheshire for a fun weekend.geronimo 2017 festival

From the Geronimo Festival Circus to the legendary Justin Fletcher, Mr Bloom and Andy Day, there will lots of acts, performers and activities to keep the kids entertained for hours.geronimo 2017 festival geronimo 2017 festival

Guinness World Record holder Jez Avery will also be there performing his world class PRO BMX and Mountain bike Stunts at The Show Ground Arena, which I know BattleKid would love to see as he is bike mad, whether it be the cycling or motor type!

There will be a sound track to enjoy for all Geronimo festival goers from Mr. Wilson’s Second Liners, a New Orleans funeral street parade meets 90s club classics rave, to Rockin’ Rhinos ‘rocked-up nursery rhyme remixes.geronimo 2017 festival

Brand new to Geronimo 2017 is the Digital Zone, where older children can meet their favourite YouTubers and Gamers as well as try their hand at all the latest technology.

There will also be an inflatable assault course, Parkour workshops, plus the UK’s first fully mobile, interactive 30 metre-long trailer cave. Little monkeys can enjoy the four climbing towers and a digital traverse wall, and are sure to be pooped by the end of the day!geronimo 2017 festival geronimo 2017 festival geronimo 2017 festival geronimo 2017 festival

For Tiny tots there are signing classes and sensory activities, along with Little Learners, the award-winning messy play and mark making class. Younger children can get their groove on at Dance Baby Sling.

To keep everyone fueled throughout the festival, there will be a huge range of food stalls, artisan burger and wood-fired pizza vans, which I personally like the sound of. Even the fussiest of eaters will find something to ensure they can carry on enjoying the fun at Geronimo 2017!

For the first year ever families can now camp in the specially designed child friendly campsite. The campsite features both options to either bring your own tent, caravan or motorhome, or take advantage of the many glamping options. With the option of booking all the kit needed to camp and the promise to be pitched with friends regardless of group size or when you arrive, all that grown-ups need to worry about is making sure they get to see as much of the Geronimo Festival as they can.

Like the sound of all of that? Well, I have 1 Family Day Pass to attend the Geronimo 2017 Festival, either on Sunday 28th May or Bank Holiday Monday 29th May, on offer for one of my lucky readers. The winner will win a Family Day Pass to this year’s Geronimo Festival and are sure to have a jam-packed day of fun!

Win Some Milton Sterilising Products for Out and About and at Home

Milton is a household name I have known for years. I can remember my mum using Milton solution to sterilise my sister’s bottles in the 1980’s and even today she swears by it for cleaning mugs and other such things, even though we are all well and truly grown up. So when Milton themselves got in touch to see if we would like to review a product or run a competition for my readers I couldn’t say no.

Milton has been a leading household name in sterilising for over 65 years, particularly when it comes to cold water sterilisation but did you know they have recently launched a microwave steam sterilisation product too?

Although we are long past the sterilising stage with BattleKid, and it wouldn’t have felt right receiving a product we might not have used, in the past I did use the Milton Portable Soother Steriliser for BattleKid’s soothers/dummies and found it fab. It was so quick and easy to pop a soother that had fallen on the floor into it for 15 minutes, and hey presto, clean and sterilised ready for use again. I have also used their anti-bacterial hand gel and have a bottle of it stashed in my change bag.

The Mini Portable Soother Steriliser has been updated since we used it to include a better attachment strap, a wider opening for larger soothers and an advanced water bottle closure technology for easier cleaning. It is used alongside Milton Mini Sterilising Tablets and not only kills bacteria and viruses on your baby’s soother in 15 minutes but a soother will remain sterile for 24 hours in the solution. It’s a really handy thing to have while you are out and about.

Milton have kindly offered one of my readers the chance to win a Mini Portable Soother Steriliser, some Milton Antibacterial Surface Wipes which are ideal for around the house or on the go, a Milton Antibacterial Hand Gel and a Milton Antibacterial Surface Spray for keeping all your surfaces clean and disinfected.

If you’d like to win this set of Milton products, all of which are perfect for use around the house or on the go, then all you need to do is click through the widget below to enter.

My blog is 2 so it’s time to celebrate!

You’ll have seen that I have run a few competitions on my blog over the last few weeks and there has been a reason for that. My little blog is 2 years old this month. 2! How did that happen? It seems like only yesterday I wrote that first post saying hello to the blogging world. And all of a sudden I am celebrating two years of blogging.

BattleDad had been encouraging me for a while and I eventually relented and did it. Little did I know then how much it would take over our lives and how much I’d enjoy it (well most of the time). There have been highs and lows, times I’ve lost my mojo and thought about giving up but I cracked on and did what I had to do to get some posts out to get through the low times.

I’ve met some lovely people via my blog and have followed some fellow bloggers through their own journeys, commenting on their posts as they have mine.

My only regret is that I didn’t start it sooner, perhaps while I was pregnant with BattleKid, so that our whole journey together as a family was fully documented but I have my written pregnancy diaries stored for him. You never know, one day I might release them as a series on the blog. But for now they’re safe and sound with his memory box.

My blog has evolved over the two years to include some lifestyle posts and, of course, our holiday diaries. I did wonder about them initially but I’m glad I’ve done them. Even if they are often repetitive and aren’t very interesting they are a record of our holidays together for us as a family to look back on and remember. Things like the time BattleKid came out with chicken pox on holiday or the time he gashed his knee on our first day (that resort is cursed for us). We can look back fondly on many a weekend in Bluestone. And no doubt there will be more to come.

Through my blog we’ve gotten to road test new products and even had a day or two out and we are so grateful for them. So now it’s my turn to give something back with not one, not two but three giveaways. Why three? Well I’ve got one aimed at expecting or new mums, one for Mums with toddlers or slightly older children and one for all the other lovely ladies who follow me. Sorry dads, there is nothing specific for you but please feel free to enter in behalf of the lady in your life. Why do that many I hear you say? Because my readers vary and are from different background situations so thought I’d try cover most bases. Dads I should point out that each giveaway includes something you could claim as your own, so please do enter!

Each competition has a post of its own as linked below. I’d really appreciate it if you could enter the one that suits you most but won’t limit anyone to entering just one. The giveaways will run until the day before my blog birthday on November 14th and I will pick the winners of each giveaway on my blog birthday. All items have been purchased by myself or are items I’ve received but never used. So the giveaways are not sponsored in any way.

All that’s left to say is a huge thank you to all of you, my readers and followers, for your support over the last two years!
