A Day at the Beach Puzzle from Ravensburger Review

Alongside my Used Car Lot Puzzle, I also received A Day at the Beach Puzzle from Ravensburger for review.a day at the beach puzzle

This 500 piece puzzle features a beach scene as created by artist Andy Walker and features all the things we enjoy about A Day at the Beach, including a Punch and Judy show, donkey rides and sandcastle building.

I decided to take a slightly different tactic with this puzzle as it appeared to be a bit harder than my previous two 500 piece puzzles. This was due to the fact there is a lot of beige sand and blue sky in the picture.

I created the border first and then separated out the remaining pieces into four piles. One contained mostly just blue in it, one contained blue with some other colours/features in it, one contained colours and the other was mostly beige sand. I thought that by doing this it might make completing the puzzle easier.

The border took 40 minutes to complete

I started with the sky and pier and this section, apart from a few pieces, took shape without too much difficulty.

After 1 hour and forty minutes

Next I moved onto the coloured sections and these came together really easily. Next it was the sand. This proved a bit more difficult than the other sections but it wasn’t long before the majority of this puzzle was done.

Complete in two hour and a half hours

The last few sky blue pieces were put into place, and after only two and a half hours, this A Day at the Beach Puzzle from Ravensburger was complete. I couldn’t believe how quickly it had come together and I wonder did my different tactic help!

WHAT I LOVED ABOUT THE A DAY AT THE BEACH PUZZLE FROM RAVENSBURGER:

  • High quality puzzle.
  • Easy to do and complete. I finished it in two and a half hours.
  • Appears difficult and complicated due to the lack of variety of colours but wasn’t at all.
  • This 500 piece puzzle is aimed at ages 10+ and should not prove difficult to complete.
  • The softclick technology that produces a smooth puzzle to minimise glare on the puzzle image.
  • Contains all the aspects of A Day at the Beach that everyone loves including donkey rides and building sandcastles.
  • Measures 49 x 36cm when complete.

WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE ABOUT THE A DAY AT THE BEACH PUZZLE FROM RAVENSBURGER:

  • Nothing!

This 500 piece A Day at the Beach puzzle from Ravensburger was easy to complete and enjoyable at the same time. As mentioned I took a different approach to completing this puzzle and I think it helped. The puzzle is aimed at ages 10+ and should be more than doable for that age range.

So if you are looking for a puzzle for yourself or a child age 10 years of age or above, then this puzzle may just fit the bill. The A Day at the Beach puzzle retails at around £7.99 and is available from Amazon and other major retailers. Why not check out the full range of puzzles available at Ravensburger.
